As a preeminent research institution dedicated to the study of Hong Kong and the Chinese diaspora in Canada, the Richard Charles Lee Canada–Hong Kong Library (RCLCHKL) stands as North America’s most comprehensive and unique repository of resources related to Hong Kong, Chinese Canadian history, and transnational migration. Housed at the University of Toronto, the Library supports interdisciplinary scholarship and public understanding of these interconnected themes.

Established to foster scholarship and advanced knowledge in these specialized fields, the Library plays a pivotal role in curating, preserving, and making accessible historical and archival materials. It also facilitates cross-cultural dialogue and serves as a global hub for intellectual engagement, academic partnerships, and knowledge exchange.

In support of the Library’s ongoing efforts to enhance its collections, programming, and scholarly collaborations, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Tammy Lai-Ming Ho as Honorary Researcher at RCLCHKL for the term 2025–2028. Dr. Ho will provide invaluable expertise to guide the Library’s academic development and will serve as a scholarly ambassador, helping to further integrate the RCLCHKL into the global research community and expand its reach among international scholars, institutions, and thought leaders.

Dr. Tammy Ho’s expertise in Hong Kong humanities research, along with her leadership in international academic networks, make her an ideal appointee for this honorary position.
