Presentation by Mandy Ka-yee Tam (譚嘉儀)
Mandy Tam has been a freelancer in costume design and art education since her graduation. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Set and Costume Design from the the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 1998. and then a Master degree of Intercultural Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has designed for more than eighty theatre productions in Hong Kong, Canada, Taiwan, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Berlin, London, Macao, New York and Singapore.
Ms. Tam's experience in costume design encompasses Chinese and Western opera, dance, ballet, drama, musical, physical theatre and TV drama production in Mainland China. In 2004 and 2015, she won the "Best Costume Awards" for "The Peach Blossom Fan" and "Hedda Gabler" respectively from the Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies. At the 2007 Prague Quadrennial, she was part of the team representing Hong Kong with their Cantonese Opera "Dream of the West Chamber".
譚嘉儀為⾹港演藝學院學⼠，主修舞台及服裝設計，中⽂⼤學⽂化研究碩⼠， 早年於⾹港理⼯⼤學修畢時裝設計及製衣課程。參與舞台服裝設計的製作超過80個，涉獵範圍包括意⼤利歌劇、中國戲曲、話劇、⾳樂劇、形體劇場、中國和芭蕾舞劇。製作曾於⾹港、加拿⼤、台灣、北京、上海、廣州、柏林、倫敦、澳門、紐約、星加坡等地演出。
2004⾹港話劇團<桃花扇> 及2015 新視野藝術節<海達.珈珼珞>獲⾹港戲劇協會頒發最佳舞台服裝設計。 2007年以⾹港代表之⼀參加布拉格四年展，參展作品粵劇<西樓錯夢>。近年參與之本地製作包括鄧樹榮戲劇⼯作室<⾺克⽩>、⾹港舞團<紫⽟成煙>、⾹港話劇團<回歸>、⾹港藝術節粵劇⽑俊輝作品<百花亭贈劍>、西九戲曲中⼼開幕演出任⽩慈善基⾦會製作<再世紅梅記>、2019澳⾨⽂化中⼼⽑俊輝導演作品<浮⽣記>。國內製作包括電視劇<那年開花⽉正圓>、楊麗萍舞蹈作品<孔雀>及<春之祭>。
