Richard Charles Lee Canada-Hong Kong Library Celebrating its 10th Anniversary
March 6, 2018 marks a full decade since the opening of the Richard Charles Lee Canada-Hong Kong library. The library staff gathered on March 8, 2018 to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Founding staff members shared stories and experiences related to the library with newer staff members, creating a buzz in the seminar room as the conversations ebbed and flowed, with laughter intermittently injected as humorous punchlines were told.
A slideshow played in the background, depicting the countless events hosted by the library throughout the years. In the past decade, the Canada-Hong Kong library has expanded in many areas—from collections to events. It is known to be the largest collection of materials related to Hong Kong outside of the city itself with scholars frequently visit to peruse the library’s collections.
